Effects of Different Wastewater Irrigation on Soil Properties and Vegetable Productivity in the North China Plain

The interest in reusing wastewater for irrigation is being popularized most countries. objective of this study was to evaluate the effects different and nitrogen fertilizer on soil fertility plant quality, as well identify optimal mode North China Plain. A total nine treatments, including control (groundwater, no fertilizer), piggery wastewater, reclaimed water, saline combined with (300 kg/ha 200 kg/ha), were conducted a greenhouse 2019 (Xinxiang, Henan Province). Soil pH, electrical conductivity, organic matter, heavy metals contents, cucumber yield quality analyzed. results showed that: (1) compared underground water (control), pH value decrement 0.21 units (PW), 0.24 treatments (SW). conductivity (EC) significantly increased by 5.8~20.9% PW SW while there significant difference EC water. highest (770 µS/cm) recorded treatment. (2) No dramatic concentrations lead (Pb) cadmium (Cd) PW, RW, control, but copper (Cu), zinc (Zn) 2.1~43.4%, 24.4~27.0%, 14.9~21.9%, respectively. (3) There differences RW treatment, slight decrease 1.4% observed PWH an increment 17.5%. In addition, contents Vitamin C, soluble sugar, protein also improved study, treatment strongest ability promote thus indicating that 300 would be practice region.
